THE MÂCONNAIS LAND
An exceptional location
Ideally located in Chânes, in the South of Mâcon, our vineyard covers 10 hectares of vinew spread across Beaujolais Blanc, Mâcon-Chaintré, Saint-Véran, Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran Prestige and Pouilly-Fuissé 1er cru and Crémant de Bourgogne designations.
OUR EXPERTISE
Our process
We work exclusively Chardonnay grape variety on the slopes of Chânes, Chaintré, Crêches-sur-Saône, Fuissé, Loché and Pruzilly, which brings great purity of expression to our wines.
The vineyard has gradually expanded and equipped itself over the years to cultivate vines, harvest grapes and transform them into wine, respecting traditional methods and striving to offer a range of quality wines to our customers.
Our farming and winemaking practices are sustainable. In the vineyard, we work all our plots by hand and maintain natural grass cover between the rows to protect the soil from erosion and enhance the botanical diversity of the vineyard. We adopted a strategy of reducing our inputs to the bare minimum and we study the evolution of the vegetative cycle to intervene at the most opportune times.
TIME TO HARVEST
The harvest
We begin harvesting our grapes when they reach the perfect ripeness. To ensure fresh and high-quality grapes we harvest very early in the morning and press them as quickly as possible to prevent juice oxidation. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentations then proceed at their own pace, allowing our terroir to fully express itself. Meanwhile, we closely monitor our different wines and taste them regularly with the team.
